Introduction
We all live within nature, use its resources etc, yet we don't fully know the extent of our relationship with nature; you could say we are naive at how our sometimes "rash" decisions and actions to benfit us can ulitmlity affect both nature and man. That's the reason why I choose to pick the relationship between man and nature, human nature, as my first Apollo project. I want to explore ideas that are all included in the topic, such as how we nonor nature, how we will honor nature in the feature, is the reltionship between man and nature healthy etc.
ArtSunsets, sunrises, the sky, natures little things, emotions of man and man within nature: all of these things and much more are what I decided to photograph to show the beauty of man and nature individually and together as one. I created two websites which I published two albums of the pictures. I also showcased these photos in my "human nature" powerpoint.

History
In order to understand the essence of the relationship between man and nature, I had to go back in time to compare the relationship from then to now. I also used important people in history to compare the relationship such as Teddy Rosevelt, Gilford Pinchot etc.

English
At first, I didn't know what I would create for the LA component of this project until asking the Apollo teachers for ideas. I decided to create a collection of poems that show and explain the relationship between man and nature.

Art |
Using a Cannon camera that was given to me for the purpose of this project and a collection of photos that I took in the past, I created a collection of photos for the art protion of the project. Although I edited some of the photos, most of them were untouched and were taken in "real time". After I felt that I had the right amount of good photos, I created two websites to publish them on:

These photos consist of the beauty of nature and man individually and together. They also consists of objects that represent human nature. These collection of photos convey my vision man and nature together as one. |
History |
For almost 2 weeks of work time, I focused on the history portion of this project . I researched anything and everything that was connected to the history of the relationship between man and nature. I had an overwhelming amount of notes that I had trouble organizing but, I eventually was able to create informational passages that were focused. These passages include info on how man treated nature in the past with conservation being the main focus. Important people such as Teddy Rosevelt, Gilford Pinchot, who played an important role in conservation and improving the way man treated nature and its resources, were also mentioned.

I had planned to use informational passages I wrote for my English component, but after speaking with one of my Apollo teachers, I decided to use those passages for the history component and create poems that would reflect the relationship between man and nature instead. Before creating these poems, I looked at many other poets works to get ideas of how I wanted my poems to be "structured". I created a collection of 3 "free versed" poems that evolved around a tree and the emotions it goes through when having a relationship with man, hurt, healing, and love.
